I met a
group of fellows the other day and each shared life’s events for the ending
year!... I shared how my work challenges
were political and expected to continue for the next year!... another comment from a member of the group caught
my attention profoundly!... he stated he was recently
released from prison after spending eighteen years!... we asked how was he able to cope?... He answered, “everyday he asked God to give him
strength to overcome his surroundings.”

Most Holy
and All Wise God!...I come as humbled as I know how!...on bending knees!...with
outstretched arms!...reaching towards heaven!...with my hands I reached out for
yur presence!...Lord God!...there’s nothing I want more!...Lord God!...U’r all
I want!...yur presence brings joy to this place!... yur presence brings peace
to this trouble heart!... fill this place with yur glory Lord God!...Lord
God!...I’m here to give thanks for the peek of a new day!...I’m here Lord
God!... to give thanks for extending yur love and kindness while crossing over
my midnight!...I bless U!...I praise U Lord God!...U touch my heart and my
fears disappear!...I’m grateful Lord God!...grateful for safety in yur arms!...
U’r my refuge!... my strong tower!... U’r not my last resort!...but my only
resort!... I lift my hands Lord God!...let the reign of God!...fall over my
life!... let yur anointing Lord God!....fall again!...Lord God!...U’r awesome
and mighty!...I call on U Lord God!... wheew!…giver of
life!...when I feel defeated!...when hopes is shadowed with my past!...I call
out to U Lord God!...and things happens!...change comes!...when my days darken
with night!...and I wonder how I will make it!...it gets hard Lord God!...the
pain in my life!...situations seems impossible!...difficulty and confusion
swarms my day!...but I keep my trust in U Lord God!...I know U will make a way
out of no way!...Lord God!...I trust what U are doing with me Lord God!...my storms over storms!...and yur power keeps me from harm!...through U
Lord God!...I have victory!...I know U care Lord God!...no matter what it seems
like!…hallelujah!…U gave me
deliverance!... and U’r always there!... I will overcome every chain!...overcome
the brokenness!...overcome the stress!...Lord God!... live in me!...through
Christ!...I can do all things!...through Christ!...I will make it through!... wheew!… I praise
God!...I praise God!

Jesus!...keep my soul!...I put all my trust in U!...
…this
purpose is real!...
Lord God!...may
U bless me!...keep me!...may yur face shine on me!...I’m so gracious!...keep
yur counsel turn toward me and give me peace!...bless me when I lie down and
when I rise up!...let family and friends be allowed to face any encounter that
may rise against them!...I rest!...I ruled!...and abide in the most holy name
Jesus Christ!...
